At Ten Seventy Architecture, we’re big fans of modern / minimalist design and creating spaces that seamlessly blend interior and exterior spaces. Perhaps the best example of how we’ve helped our clients achieve this is through a project we call the “Crest Residence''.
The Crest Residence was specifically designed to show off the amazing views offered by San Diego’s Mission Bay. The entire layout of this re-model and addition project was to create intrigue around the view throughout different areas of the home, to make it an experience for guests to visit and for the homeowners to entertain.
But the overall design of the Crest Residence is really just the start of what makes this home so special.
During the re-model, we also helped our clients make the most out of their property. We designed a luxurious master bedroom and bathroom that also offers a balcony view of the bay, along with a brand new kitchen that opens out to an outdoor patio area alongside a large swimming pool (which also has the added benefit of keeping the rest of the home cool through evaporative cooling).
This project is a perfect example of how functional, modern or minimalist design can help you create a captivating space with timeless appeal. All in all, it’s one of our favorite projects.
